How is climate change predicted to affect global food production?

Background: As the planet’s climate changes, it will affect different parts of the world in different ways. Some places will get wetter while others will get drier. Some will get warmer while others get cooler. These changes can have wide-ranging effects on different aspects of peoples’ lives all over the world. An example of this phenomena is changing agricultural outputs in different regions around the world.

The graph shows forecasted change in yield of different crops in different regions as the climate warms.

Questions:

1. Describe what the graph shows about predicted changes in agricultural output under different temperature scenarios. To what extent does the general trend hold with each crop?

2. I interpret the graph to mean….
