Correlation

Instructional and practice activities in this section are designed to help students 

1.  Learn to graph two numeric variables against each other on X and Y axes to see if they are correlated.

2.  Sketch a line of best fit through the data (by eye)

3.  Acquire language to describe the strength and nature of a correlation in terms of how scattered the points are from the line of best fit (a strong, weak, or no correlation) and whether the correlation is positive or negative, based on the direction of the slope of the line.
